Club Agenda: April 25, 2017

  1. Math Tutoring @ Phillipsburg Free Public Library in the Quiet Room

  • Every Tuesday from 6-8pm: Tutor students in Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, and Geometry

  1. Food Drive

  • NJ’s District Project this year is Hunger in NJ

  • We will be collecting nonperishable food items throughout the year.

  • For every 3 items you bring, you will receive one service hour.

  • A collection barrel is outside the key club room

  1. First Book Warren book drive

  • Donate used books for children (grades Pre-K through third grade)

  • For every two books you donate, you will a get a service hour.

  1. Head Start/Early Head Start babysitting (4/26)

  • 6—7:30 at the Fisher Ave. Community Room

  1. Letter Carrier’s Food Drive (5/13)

  • Help out at Food Bank in Phillipsburg

  1. Comic Con on 5/13

  • Key club will run its own table. Please see Caleb for more details.

  1. Start saving gently used shoes for the Kiwanis Shoe Drive--takes place in April, May, and June

  1. Frolic in the Park at Walters Park  (5/4, 5—7 pm)

  • Help with games and refreshments and handing out books.

  1. Host the Regional Training Conference (5/21) 

  • Need to get some food donations for breakfast and lunch

  • Also need volunteers to help set up at 7:30. Will need some help throughout the day. Ends at 1:00pm

  1. Committee Chairs

  • If anyone is interested in running for a committee chair position, please ask Mr. Babbitt for a form. (We do not have them printed yet)

  • Committee Chairs: Scrapbook, member relations, social, math matters, food drive, fundraising, and major emphasis

  1. Key Club Banquet

  • May 18th—you will be invited if you have enough service hours (10 hours)

  • We need help writing the addresses on invitations, for each AP day you come you will get a service hour. This will start next week.

  • We will also need drink and dessert donations for service hours.

  1. “Feed the Bus”

  • May 1st—June 1st

  • Voorhees will be moving a bus to different locations throughout the month to draw attention to the drive and to provide a place for the food to be collected.
